Terms of use

Effective October 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Margin & Method Co (“we”) for The Family Budget. By buying or using it, you agree to them.

Your purchase

A one-time payment gives your household access to The Family Budget for as long as we offer it, with up to two logins. It’s for personal, household use; you may not resell or share access beyond your household.

Refunds

If it’s not for you, email marginandmethodco@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. A refund ends access to the household’s budget; download a copy in Settings first if you want one.

Your account

Keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your login. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.

Your data

Your budget belongs to you. You can download or delete it anytime. See the privacy policy for how we handle it.

Not financial advice

The Family Budget is a planning tool. It doesn’t give financial, tax or legal advice, and its numbers depend on what you enter. Payoff dates and totals are estimates. Talk to a qualified professional for advice about your situation.

Availability

We work to keep the app available and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update features over time. If we ever discontinue The Family Budget, we’ll give at least 60 days’ notice so you can download your data.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to access other households’ data, disrupt the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, The Family Budget is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and tell you about significant changes by email.
